The union representing a large number of striking Boeing employees has criticized what the aircraft manufacturer referred to as its "best and last" pay offer, which proposed a 30% increase over four years.
The new proposal also included reestablishing a presentation reward and expanding retirement benefits.

"After listening to our employees and their concerns, Boeing today announced our best and final offer," the aircraft manufacturer stated in a letter.
The proposal doubles the value of an unusual reward for modifying another compensation arrangement to $6,000 (£4,497).
Boeing stated that the proposal is contingent on endorsements being confirmed by 12 p.m. Pacific time on Friday, September 27 (7 a.m. GMT, Saturday, September 28).

Boeing employees voted to strike on September 13 after rejecting another contract offer that included a 25% pay increase over the next four years.
The association initially went for the gold in labourers' bundles, including a 40% pay increase.
Practically 95% of the patrons, who manufacture planes such as the 737 Max and 777, voted to reject Boeing's underlying agreement.
Of those who voted, 96% supported strike action until another agreement could be reached.
The strike threatens Boeing with billions of dollars in losses, exacerbating an already dire situation.
Its effects are currently felt throughout the business and the larger US economy, as Boeing has halted shipments of most parts and found alternative ways to save money.
The organization has previously suspended the positions of a large number of employees.
It has also stated that US-based executives, directors, and employees will be approached to request multiple weeks of leave at regular intervals, regardless of how long the walkout lasts.
